WAR & PEACE is a hip-hop duo made up of two brothers from different backgrounds who discovered a shared purpose through music. Raised in Durban in humble homes, Slyme Keed emerged from the streets of Mgababa in the city's south, while Thami 031 represents Pinetown (3610), just outside Durban. Together with their longtime producer, J32K (Jack Boy Two Kay) , they have crafted a sound that is uniquely their own. Blending rap, trap, and melodic influences, WAR & PEACE bridges generations with futuristic production rooted in local South African culture. Their music combines raw lyricism with infectious energy, creating a sound that is both authentic and forward-thinking. Rather than choosing one lane, they embraced both. That's what defines WAR & PEACE. Every record lives between opposites—lyricism and rhythm, struggle and triumph, reflection and celebration, chaos and calm. War represents every obstacle they've faced: the pressure, the setbacks, the sacrifices, and the battles that shaped their character.
